KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 4 (Bernama) -- TCL Electronics Technology Holdings Ltd honored with the ‘Display Technology Gold Award’ by International Data Group (IDG) and German Industry & Commerce Co Ltd for its flagship QLED TV X8 at IFA 2018.
“We are thrilled to receive this award in recognition of our commitment to technological innovation in the TV industry and our expanding QLED TV product portfolio,” said general manager of Product Center, Emerging Business Center and Smart Home Business Center, TCL Electronics, Shaoyong Zhang.
The QLED TV X8 is TCL’s latest 4K QLED TV, featuring Quantum Dot display technology with a wide color gamut of 157 per cent BT.709. It includes Dolby Vision HDR imaging technology that delivers stunning picture quality, a statement said.
It also equipped with an industry-leading sound system, featuring technology from Onkyo and Dolby Atmos and an integrated AI soundbar that allows users to easily find content via voice control.
The X8 comes in a minimalist design with thinnest part measuring just 7.9mm. The adoption of full-screen design offers a wider viewing angle and the soundbar embedded in the base also provides a better sound experience for users.
Headquartered in China, the company is one of the leading players in the global TV industry, engaged in the research and development, manufacturing and distribution of consumer electronic products.
