The launch was in collaboration with the China Women’s Development Foundation, the China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges, the Women’s Federation of Yunnan Province and Yongren County Government.

The joint project was entitled SDG Pilot Village Project: Women-focused Poverty Reduction and Sustainable Development (2017-2021).

According to a statement, the project addressed the structural barriers to women’s labour market participation, including through the provision of social protection and the creation of green entrepreneurial opportunities through ecotourism, coupled with efforts to enhance women’s leadership in community decision-making forums.

The outcomes of Phase 1 of the project provided compelling evidence of the transformational effect that a gender-responsive approach can make to localising the SDGs and in the design of policy and programmatic responses for a post-COVID-19 green and inclusive recovery.

Women from the Yi ethnic group became the drivers of economic growth and poverty reduction through targeted gender-specific interventions that advanced an inclusive local economy and the preservation of their cultural heritage.

The pilot highlighted the potential of multi-stakeholder partnerships, including the private sector, in advancing the SDGs while maximising the development impact of women’s entrepreneurship.

UNDP China, together with Mary Kay China and local public sector partners, worked with women entrepreneurs to ensure they were equipped with the tools and education necessary to become economic actors.

UNDP China and project partners will soon move to Phase 2 (2022-2024) which aims to accelerate entrepreneurship; promote diversity and inclusion; and, advance green development.

To solve the challenges of NFTs currently seen within the crypto space and web3, Aura Network announces the release of its Mainnet focused on optimizing NFT use cases.

SINGAPORE, Aug 15 (Bernama-BUSINESS WIRE) -- Aura Network on August 13th announced that it plans to launch ‘Xstaxy’ Mainnet on October 1st.

This press release features multimedia. View the full release here: https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20220813005025/en/

Aura Network is a Cosmos-based chain with a comprehensive ecosystem built to optimize NFTs use cases across additional and existing industries.

With this announcement, Aura Network enhanced the commitment of the development team to the key milestones. “We are one step forward to achieve our vision: To build the NFT ecosystem of the future, starting as the best user experience chain of Cosmos. One of our most important missions is to drive the mainstream users from the traditional market to the industry of NFTs by optimizing NFT use cases and utilities toward the simplest way,” Giang Tran - Founder & CEO at Aura Network.

As of April, Aura Network released its 2 testnets ‘Serenity’ and ‘Halo’ as an experimental environment for early adopters to experience the first features. The project is currently testing out its ‘Euphoria’ staging network with selected 55 validators to evaluate the security and decentralization aspects. This move is set to prepare for the official launch of Mainnet in October.

“We need a superior settlement layer solution to accommodate the expected increasing usage and demand in the future. Aura Network is a perfect match to accelerate global NFT adoption by offering a reliable, blazing fast, scalable, cheap, and NFT-centric layer-1.” - Coin98 Ventures shared.

At certain phases, Aura Network focuses on ensuring that the main and basic dApps are implemented and seamlessly functional during its release, with continuous improvements for best user experience through those dApps, including AuraScan, PyxisSafe and Aura HUB.

One of the most definite advantages of any chain is the ability to support an ecosystem of open contributors to BUIDL. The “amazing network effects” take place when the more dApps a chain can have, the more users and builders it can interact with. Aura Network is built using the world’s most popular framework for building blockchain applications - Cosmos SDK. It is widely known to give developers full open-source flexibility and simplicity to build a complete Cosmos SDK application in just a few hours.

Besides, Aura Network unlocked the first use case with Artaverse in May. Through its partnership with VnExpress, one of the most popular websites in Vietnam recorded by Alexa, it produced a musical event to capture the performance of top-tier singers, then turned it into NFTs to distribute to fans and collectors. These NFTs can be seen as high-quality video clips that are unique, licensed and will never be published in any other form online, ensuring both exclusivity and rarity.

Aura Network continues to BUIDL various NFT use cases related to both SocialFi and GameFi by 2022, thus allowing Aura to advance one step forward to be the main chain that helps develop and nurture the NFT ecosystem of the future.

About Aura Network

Aura Network is a scalable, agile and effortless Layer-1 blockchain with a comprehensive ecosystem built to accelerate global NFTs adoption. Aura Network focuses on solving the problem of adopting NFTs and blockchain technology in general, which is currently a highly complex process.

JUNIPER RESEARCH: SOFT POS USER BASE TO GROW 475% GLOBALLY BY 2027, AS APPLE'S ENTRY CATALYSES THE MARKET

BASINGSTOKE, England, Aug 9 (Bernama-BUSINESS WIRE) -- A new study from Juniper Research has found the total number of merchants deploying soft POS solutions will surpass 34.5 million globally by 2027; rising from 6 million in 2022. This growth will be driven by Apple’s entrance into the soft POS space; enabling iOS users to access an affordable mobile POS solution.

Soft POS enables NFC‑enabled smartphones or tablets to accept contactless payments, without additional hardware.
1.2 Billion iOS Users Added to Soft POS Market

The research forecasts that Apple’s decision to enable third parties to develop soft POS solutions leveraging iOS NFC capabilities will result in an influx of iOS-specific services; leading to innovative solutions for merchants. Furthermore, the research predicts Apple’s entry will provide 1.2 billion iOS users with soft POS capabilities; unlocking a previously untapped market.

Soft POS is the latest development from Apple within the payments space; building upon Apple Pay and Apple Pay Later. Soft POS vendors should leverage Apple’s payment ecosystem by developing innovative solutions such as integrated QR payment acceptance, using Apple Pay and Pay Later compatibility to attract a broader iOS user base.

Increasing Contactless Payment Adoption to Drive Soft POS Uptake

The research anticipates soft POS adoption being driven by the increasing use of contactless payments – with volumes expected to rise from 195 billion in 2022 to 408 billion by 2027. Therefore, consumers will come to expect contactless acceptance as standard; forcing smaller merchants to adopt contactless-capable POS solutions. Merchants are anticipated to embrace soft POS, based on cost savings achievable from eliminating the need for additional hardware, as well as mobility advantages over contactless POS.

This will be profound for small-sum and mobile merchants that must accept contactless transactions, but lack the need for high-cost dedicated terminals. As such, the research recommends soft POS vendors must look to target micro and mobile merchants; designing solutions that meet their unique needs.
