KUALA LUMPUR, May 29 (Bernama) -- Recent graduates with advanced business degree, particularly in the United States (US) are procuring substantial starting salaries, according to the Business School Hiring Report.
The Graduate Management Admission Council released the report based on findings from the annual Corporate Recruiters Survey.
This year, the median annual base starting salary which US employers plan to offer the new MBA hires is US$115,000, more than double the median for new bachelor’s degree hires. (US$1 = RM4.19)
The figure is the highest ever recorded in the US, when adjusted for inflation.
Overall, most employers (56 per cent) plan to increase MBA starting salaries, including employers in Asia-Pacific (63 per cent), US (56 per cent) and Europe (49 per cent).
Median annual base starting salaries vary considerably by world region.
The survey was conducted in partnership with MBA Career Services & Employer Alliance and European Foundation for Management Development.
For this report, over 1,200 employers in 45 countries provided insight into current market and hiring trends among MBA and business master’s graduates.
