Four festivals make Hong Kong's ancient history alive

KUALA LUMPUR, April 26 (Bernama) -- The Hong Kong Tourism Board is honouring its Chinese past with four unique and ancient festivals steeped in culture and tradition.
The festivals are Tin Hau Festival (April 27), Cheung Chau Bun Festival (May 9-13), Buddha’s Birthday (May 6-12) and Tam Kung’s Birthday (May 12).

Hong Kong Tourism Board executive director Anthony Lau said the board was proud to support the culture and heritage that made Hong Kong such a vibrant city.
“We invite visitors to immerse themselves in these ancient celebrations, which truly capture the colour and lively spirit of the city.”
The festivals will feature powerful drums, riveting gongs, technicolour dragon dances, joyous crowds and mountains of Chinese buns.
