KUALA LUMPUR, May 23 (Bernama) -- PVH Corp, one of the world’s largest apparel companies has appointed Stefan Larsson to the newly-created role of president, effective June 3.
The company, which also owns iconic brands, including Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, in a statement said Larsson would report to PVH chairman and chief executive officer (CEO), Emanuel Chirico.
Larsson will be responsible for managing PVH’s branded businesses and regions, with each of the three brand CEOs and the regional presidents reporting to him.
Most recently, he was CEO of Ralph Lauren Corp, where he successfully refocused the company on what made it iconic, improved its performance and set the path for future growth.
Over nearly 15 years, he was part of the team that grew Swedish retailer Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) sales from US$3 billion to US$17 billion and expanded the company’s operations from 12 to 44 countries. (US$1 = RM4.19)
In connection with the appointment, Chirico signed a new five-year employment agreement with the company.
PVH Corp Presiding Director, Henry Nasella said with the signing of Chirico’s new employment agreement and hiring of Larsson as president, PVH was extremely well-positioned from a leadership and a management succession perspective to continue to execute strategic plans, well into the future.
