KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 8 (Bernama) -- Leading Internet performance and security company Cloudflare, Inc. announced its fourth quarter 2018 results, where the last three months of the year saw 10 new data centres, the launch of its first mobile application, and a new office in Munich, Germany.
The company, in a statement, said the new data centres bring its network to 165 global points of presence. With these additions in the United States, Bahrain, Russia, Vietnam, Pakistan and France (Reunion), Cloudflare has a total of 46 new cities last year.
Co-founder and chief executive officer of Cloudflare, Matthew Prince, said he was proud of the growth the team accomplished in the 2018 final quarter as the company’s network is brought even closer to the global users, notably the Europeans.
The company also launched its first mobile application, the 1.1.1.1 app. Already downloaded by nearly one million users, the app allows iOS and Android users to quickly toggle 1.1.1.1 on and off on their phones to easily access an encrypted browsing experience.
At the end of 2018, Cloudflare had more than 865 employees, up from 539 just over a year ago as the company continues to grow its engineering, sales, marketing and support teams across its offices worldwide.
