Suria KLCC, Alamanda Aim To Raise RM10,000 For Underprivileged Paediatric Patients

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 25 (Bernama) -- Suria KLCC and Alamanda shopping malls aimed to raise RM10,000 as funds for underprivileged paediatric patients getting treatment in government hospitals and their families.

Suria KLCC chief executive officer Andrew Brien said the fund would be raised through the sales of gift boxes worth RM10 each from November 26 to December 26 and channel to a non-profit organisation, ANGSANAcare.

"ANGSANAcare psychotherapists assess and support the emotional needs of the children in their care.

"They provide play, art and music therapy to these children with the aim of facilitating enjoyment and peace," he said in his speech at the Suria KLCC Christmas launching ceremony, here today.

Earlier, he launched Suria KLCC's Christmas decoration themed Santa's Village and the 32-metre Christmas tree at the KLCC Esplanade.

Brien said the Christmas tree had been recognised by The Malaysia Book of Records as the tallest Christmas tree in the country.

"We believe the decorations will enhance festive holiday atmosphere, especially for the tourists and also Malaysia's multi-racial society," he said.
