SHAH ALAM, June 15 (Bernama) -- The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) is committed in instilling road safety awareness to all employees, especially during the festive season.
Its chief executive officer, Noraida Mohd Yusof said today, road safety should be taken seriously when the people start to return to their respective home towns.
"I would like to urge alll PKNS staff to practice safety measures when on the road and hope that it can be shared with family members and friends," she said when opening the PKNS road safety campaign 2017, here.
The campaign is an ongoing initiative by PKNS to instll awareness by sharing preventive measures through talks delivered by a panel from the Department of Road Safety.
Six cases of road accidents, including one fatality involving PKNS employees, were recorded last year. Only one motorycycle accident was recorded up to June this year.
PKNS paid for medical expenses incurred by employees while for the employee who died last year, PKNS had given insurance money to his family.
