KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 14 (Bernama) -- Malaysia will host the 84th International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) World Library and Information Congress (WLIC) in 2018.
The Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) chief executive officer, Datuk Zulkefli Sharif said the conference, which will be held on Aug 24 to 30 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, here is expected to generate RM44.4 million in economic impact to the country.
"Delegates attending the WLIC 2018 will develop a learning culture, and be exposed to a platform that will enhance their knowledge capacity. This will allow each individual to be involved in the creative exchange of ideas with 4,000 leaders and experts from librarians to various ICT (information communications technology) industry experts," he said at the IFLA WLIC 2018 press conference here today.....
